Uttar-Pradesh Mahotsava

Celebration of Uttar Pradesh Divas on January 24 was started by Srijan Foundation itself in 2016, which in 2017 was officially declared by the Government of Uttar Pradesh as Uttar Pradesh Divas and on January 24, 2018, for the first time, Uttar Pradesh Divas was celebrated in the official form. The organization started giving its Uttar Pradesh Divas the form of a festival in 2018 and in 2018 made it 4 days. A congratulatory letter was also received by Hon'ble Home Minister Shri Amit Shah ji to start Uttar Pradesh Day in 2016.

Since the Uttar Pradesh Mahotsav was started with the objective of giving a grand look to the Uttar Pradesh Divas, therefore, through this festival, it is the priority to bring forth the handicrafts, cottage industries, products, talents of Uttar Pradesh.

Taking this series forward, a huge 15-day Uttar Pradesh Mahotsav 2019 was organized from 10th December, 2019 to 24th December, 2019. The festival was inaugurated by Mayor Smt. Sanyukta Bhatia ji, MLA Cantt. Shri Suresh Tiwari ji and BJP Mahanagar President Shri Mukesh Sharma ji. In between there was also the arrival of Minister Shri Suresh Pasi. About 120 stalls were involved in this 15-day festival and about 30 thousand people visited.
If more and more people came to the fair, programs were organized every day from the cultural platform, which was also covered a lot by the media.

The 5th 20-day Uttar Pradesh Mahotsav 2020 was organized from 08 December 2020 to 27 December 2020. The festival was inaugurated in the presence of Law Minister Mr. Brijesh Pathak, Women and Child Welfare Minister Mrs. Swati Singh, Mayor Mrs. Sanyukta Bhatia, MLA Cantt. Mr. Suresh Tiwari and BJP Mahanagar President Mr. Mukesh Sharma.

The festival was concluded by BJP State Vice President Shri Dayashankar ji and BJP youth leader Shri Neeraj Singh ji. About 150 stalls were included in this 20-day festival and about 50 thousand people visited. After Corona, this was the first event on such a large scale, so people also showed a lot of enthusiasm. People were upset while living in the house. Lots of people came and a lot of shopping was done. All the stalls were very happy. Like before, cultural programs were organized every day, which the media gave a good place in their newspapers.

After the second wave of Corona in the year 2021, fear was prevailing among all, so keeping in mind the Uttar Pradesh Mahotsav 2021 was organized from 28 December 2021 to 30 December 2021 through 3 days cultural programs instead of on a large scale. In order to promote handicrafts and cottage industries, this year 7th Uttar Pradesh Mahotsav 2022 (Handicrafts and Cultural Exhibition) is organized from 8th October, 2022 to 26th October 2022 at Katha Maidan, Sector-J, near Bangla Bazar Chauraha, Ashiyana, Lucknow. Like before, this time too more than 150 stalls of different types, many types of swings for children's entertainment and about 15 stalls for food after buying/roaming around will be included in the festival.
